Fox producers
seek warehouse


Producers of Fox Television's "Oahu" pilot are seeking a 25,000-plus square-foot warehouse with 20- to 25-foot ceilings in the downtown area that will be used for offices and sets if the hotel drama becomes a series. Filming could begin next week since Fox execs are expected to let producers know next Tuesday if it's a go. The "Oahu" production office phone number is 447-6264 ...

ABC begins filming its pilot "Lost" March 22. In the pilot, the production will only use the crashed plane's fuselage as a set and rain forest locales. Locations being considered for the "crashed" aircraft are Dillingham Air Field area and Kualoa Ranch. If "Lost" goes to series, it'll be filmed entirely in Hawaii. The show, which stars Dominic Monaghan (Merry of "The Lord of the Rings"), Ian Somerhalder, Jorge Garcia and Evangeline Lilly, deals with the aftermath of a plane wreck on a deserted island.

Maggie Grace ("Oliver Beene") plays one of the castaways, an upper-crust beauty. She also played Tom Selleck's daughter in last year's "12 Mile Road" ...

Kauai resident Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa has landed a co-starring role on the NBC police drama pilot "Hawaii" as Capt. Terry Harada. Filming started today ...

The finale of NBC's "Average Joe: Hawaii" finished well in the Nielsen ratings. In its Monday time slot, it was a draw between it and CBS' "CSI: Miami." Kite boarder Donnel Nunes from Kailua-Kona is featured on ABC's March 21 episode of "Switched Up!" The show documents the experiences of two individuals from different parts of the country who trade lives for four days. In Nunes' episode, the sports enthusiast trades live with TV personality Melissa Rivers, living in her home and assuming her broadcast television duties ...

HBO will hold a Hawaii party for its hit "The Sopranos" for cable affiliates and other guests on Saturday, March 27 at Honolulu Harbor's Pier 19. (The latest season started Sunday.) Actor Dominic Chianese, who portrays Uncle Junior, is the event's guest star ...
