Carly Fujinaka was among a group of children who attended Tuesday night's University of Hawaii Rainbow baseball game against Chicago State at Murakami Stadium at UH-Manoa. They were on hand to support Chicago State's Aiea-raised shortstop, Jonathan Sakurai, shown on the field talking to the kids prior to the game.



JAZZING THINGS UP

Local jazz musicians gave a noontime concert yesterday on the lawn at Kawaiaha'o Church. The series, called "Lent and All That Jazz ... On the Green," continues every Wednesday at noon through April 7. Gabe Baltazar, left, played alto saxophone for the crowd.
