Smylie is PacWest Player of the Week

Brigham Young-Hawaii basketball player Austin Smylie became the third Seasider honored as the Pacific West Conference's player of the week yesterday.

Smylie, who joins Shawn Opunui and Jake Chrisman on the list for the season, scored a career-high 20 points against Chaminade Saturday and scored 13 and pulled down eight rebounds against Hilo Thursday.

Smylie won the award last year as well and is second in the conference in rebounding so far this season.
