‘Amadeus’ opens at DHT

ANTICIPATING "AMADEUS": Peter Rockford Espiritu, left, Kristina Altwies and Dr. John Magaura enjoyed the pre-show reception for sponsors and friends at the opening night of "Amadeus" at Diamond Head Theatre Friday. Uli Cutter, Mariko Lyons, Joan S. Bellinger and Indru and Gulab Watumull were among other VIPs at the party. Meanwhile, "Amadeus" cast member Larry Paterson was preparing for his acting debut at age 69.

A BIG NIGHT FOR T.J.: "Amadeus" director Bill Ogilvie, left, and Paul D. Palmore, center, who stars as Salieri, congratulated T.J. Tario on his big night playing piano for the audience before the show and during intermission. Ogilvie had heard Tario playing Mozart melodies in the rehearsal room and suggested he share his talent during the run. One man in the audience on Friday was so impressed he gave Tario a $100 tip.
