H-1 freeway through Aiea turned into a parking lot with people getting out of their cars yesterday afternoon after police halted traffic due to a threatened suicide jump from an overpass. This was the scene of westbound lanes just west of Aiea Heights Drive.

Saint Louis School held its annual Blessed Chaminade Walk-a-thon benefit on Thursday, raising $11,200. About 1,000 students took part, walking to Diamond Head or around Palolo. The event, part of a week of activities celebrating Marianist Heritage Month, is named for Blessed Chaminade, the French priest for whom Chaminade University was named.
