Kamehameha 16, Sacred Hearts 0
Brandi Peiler threw a two-hit shutout, striking out 11 as Kamehameha beat Sacred Hearts in five innings yesterday, clinching the ILH regular-season championship and a berth in the upcoming state tournament.

Peiler provided plenty of support for herself at the plate as well, hitting a two-run single in the top of the first inning to open the scoring for Kamehameha. She later scored on an RBI triple by Sharee Fonoti as Kamehameha scored six runs in the first inning, and made quick work of the Lancers.

The Warriors also got a big hit from Noe Hoopii, who belted a two-run home run in the fourth inning to push the lead to double digits, putting the 10-run rule into effect after the fifth inning.

The win improved Kamehameha's record to 12-0-1, clinching one of the two ILH spots in the DivisionI state tournament. The other spot will go to the winner of the Punahou-Iolani game Monday at Iolani.
