Stuffs

[ PREVIEW ]

Opening this Friday in theaters:

"The Big Bounce": The first of two major studio movies filmed last year in Hawaii, Owen Wilson and Morgan Freeman star in this crime caper comedy about Jack Ryan, a small-time crook who heads to the islands and relocates on the North Shore. There, he is seduced by a beautiful woman -- and petty thief (Sara Foster) -- to rip off a shady real estate developer (Gary Sinise) who is building a resort in the area despite protests by the locals. But is this the perfect score or the perfect setup? Freeman plays a district judge who takes an unusually keen interest in Jack. (PG-13)

"Girl With a Pearl Earring": Culled from the Tracy Chevalier best-selling novel, debut director Peter Webber tells a speculative tale behind the famous Vermeer painting, with Colin Firth as the 17th-century Dutch artist and Scarlett Johansson as his 16-year-old housemaid. (PG-13)

"The Perfect Score": Johansson also appears in this crime comedy about a group of high school students who band together to steal SAT answers in order to prevent the test from unfairly defining who they'll become. (PG-13)

"You Got Served": This hip-hop comedy explores the subculture of street dancing, focusing on a pair of friends who dream of opening their own hip-hop dance and recording studio, but they must first prove their talent by defeating another group of street dancers in a big competition. (PG-13)
