Asashoryu still unbeaten


TOKYO >> Yokozuna Asashoryu won his ninth match yesterday, remaining the only undefeated sumotori at the New Year Grand Sumo Tournament.

Asashoryu will take on Kotomitsuki (8-1) tomorrow and has beaten him seven straight times dating back to 2002. Chiyotaikai and Kakizoe are also 8-1.
