The third annual Korean Festival at Kapiolani Park this weekend offers a taste of Korean culture with food, music, dance, art and tae kwon do demonstrations. Choi Byung Il, left, Oh Kyung Hee and Kim Jong Hyun were some of the performers yesterday at the festival. The event, sponsored by the Korean Chamber of Commerce, continues today from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Korean cultural celebration moves over to Maui on Saturday at the Maui War Memorial Complex from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Lion dancers brought in the Chinese New Year at the entrance of Kingdom Jade & Jewelers on Maunakea Street yesterday. The performers are from Kimo Wong's Chinese Lion Dance Troupe and paid visits to various merchants in Chinatown while warding off evil spirits.
