HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE >> Search-and-recovery teams are headed to Laos, Cambodia and Palau this week in efforts to recover the remains of American servicemen unaccounted for from war in Southeast Asia and World War II.

Meanwhile, a repatriation ceremony is scheduled tomorrow for remains believed to be those of Americans unaccounted for from the Vietnam War, the Joint POW-MIA Accounting Command said in a news release.

Teams are set to search four sites in Laos, two in Cambodia and four in Palau.

There are about 1,800 servicemen unaccounted for from the Vietnam War, about 8,100 from the Korean War and about 78,000 from World War II, the accounting command said.
