Sea Warriors grab another conference win

Aaron Abrams scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Hawaii Pacific overcame 31 points from Jason Jackson to defeat the Western New Mexico 78-71 last night at Mid-Pacific Institute.

Audrius Peciukas finished with 17 points and Marvin Noble totaled 13 points for the Sea Warriors, who improved to 5-9 on the season, and 2-1 in the PacWest. The Mustangs dropped to 3-9 and 0-2.

Hawaii-Hilo 91, Chaminade 77: At McCabe Gym, Ryan Abrahams scored 27 points as the Vulcans (10-2) blew out the Silverswords (2-9). Jason Walters led Chaminade with 19 points.

Brigham Young-Hawaii 91, Montana State-Billings 90: At Laie, Jake Chrisman scored 30 points to help the Seasiders (13-2, 3-0) over the Yellowjackets (7-4, 1-2).

Kahuku day at QB Club

Kahuku football coach Siuaki Livai and athletic director Joe Whitford will speak at tomorrow's meeting of the Honolulu Quarterback Club at the Pagoda restaurant.

K5 broadcaster Jim Leahey and HHSAA executive director Keith Amemiya will also speak. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. with the program to follow at noon.

Rainbow Warriors' drought continues

Hawaii sophomore tennis player Ryan Sceats swept William & Mary's Sean Kelleher 6-4, 6-3 at Waikoloa yesterday, but no other Warriors could pull out wins as the Rainbows lost 6-1 to fall to 0-4 on the season.
