"RHYME & PUNISHMENT" AT THE WAVE: G-Spot, left, Flash Hansen, and Elaine Codilla were among the friends and well-wishers who joined Hawaii-based recording artist Emirc and his Flip The Bird Entertainment ohana at the CD-release party for his excellent new album, "Rhyme & Punishment" at the Wave Waikiki on Sunday. Trace & Kimo James got the late-night show rolling. Sushi from Sansei was a perfect choice as party food.

A KARAOKE HIT: Keiko Bonk congratulated songwriter Mas Kaneko during a luncheon celebrating the release of his CD-single, "Ganbarimasu," at the Natsunoya Tea House on Tuesday. Canadian karaoke vocalists James Matsumoto and Chako Setoyama capped the party with their rendition of it.

HAPPY 7TH, QUADMAG.COM!: Travis T, left, and Intrepid, addressed the challenges of male/female encounters with a performance piece titled "Tick Tock" as they entertained during the 7th Anniversary party for QuadMag.com at the Wave Waikiki on Tuesday. The event was a fundraiser to help keep the "urban island" Web site growing in 2004.
