Yamauchi helps Red Raiders
roll over Falcons in
season opener


Shosei Yamauchi scored 25 points, and Cody Juliano knocked down three three-pointers as Kahuku defeated Kalani 67-55.

The Red Raiders outscored Kalani 23-13 in the second quarter to build a 13-point lead at halftime.

Jason DeGuzman led the Falcons with 15 points.

Kapolei 59, Waialua 26: Warren Simanu scored 14 points and E.J. Aton and Jefferson Gaygay each added 10 as the Hurricanes used a 23-3 fourth quarter to pull away from the Bulldogs and win their first game of the season.

Kelson Silva led the Bulldogs with eight points as the Hurricanes defense limited Waialua to just seven second-half points.

Kalaheo 74, Farrington 39: The Mustangs used a 27 point second quarter performance to help roll over the Governors.

Sam Wilhoite scored 18 points and Theo Fujita added 17 as 11 players scored for the Mustangs.

John Fonoti led the way for the Governors with 15 points and N.C. Dela Cruz added a pair of three-point shots.

Leilehua 53, Pearl City 47: Angelo Massey's 23 points proved to be just enough as the Mules withstood a late Chargers rally to win by six.

The Chargers were able to open the game with an 18-11 lead after the first quarter, but the Mules came right back with a 15-4 second quarter run to take a four-point halftime lead.

Brandon Rambonga led the Chargers with 15 points.
