Jackie’s Kitchen opens
at Ala Moana
PARTY TIME AT JACKIE'S!: Carole Kai, right, joined Imaikalani Young and his wife, Peggy, at the "soft" opening of film star Jackie Chan's restaurant, Jackie's Kitchen, at Ala Moana Center Dec. 20. A select group of VIP guests was entertained with a traditional Chinese lion dance and then spent the evening sampling Chef Michael Longworth's "Asian-inspired" cuisine.

CHECKING IT OUT: MidWeek columnist Katie Young, left, Lezlie Yamauchi, Yu Shing Ting and her mother, Connie Ting, were among the VIPs who enjoyed the cuisine while clips from Chan's films played on large viewing screens and a "flair" bartender entertained up front. Chan is expected be in town for the formal grand opening of Jackie's Kitchen next month.
