PROMOTIONS

>> The University of Hawaii Foundation has appointed Terry Wells as its new College of Business Administration and School of Travel Industry Management director of development. She will be responsible for identifying departmental fund-raising objectives and raising major gifts from private donors. She started with the foundation in July 2002 as director of advancement U.S. In that role, she managed fund-raising prospects for UH President Evan Dobelle.


ON THE BOARD

>> Dean Masuno, Pacific Gateway Center economic development coordinator, will serve a second year as chairman of Hawaii Community Services Council. Other executive officers are: Vice Chairman Jerry Rauckhorst, Catholic Charities Hawaii; Secretary Kelly Walsh, Bank of Hawaii; and Treasurer Pete Thomson, Smith Barney. Other directors include new board members Barbara Ankersmit, Andrew Aoki, Pamela Burns, Susan Chandler, Beth Giesting, Peter Matsumoto, Susanne Pearce and Sheryl Seaman.

 >> Maui County Finance Director Keith A. Regan was recently installed as the Kiwanis Division 22 lieutenant governor. He leads all Kiwanians and their clubs in Hawaii. He succeeds his wife, Lynn A. S. Araki-Regan, who completed her term in September.
