Funeral service for Kea'au player announced

Funeral services for Kea'au basketball player Austin Meyers will be held Saturday, January 3rd, at the New Hope Christian Fellowship beginning at 11 a.m. Friends may also call the Dodo Mortuary Chapel onFriday, January 2nd, between 5 and 9 p.m., where a Wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Meyers, who passed away December 23rd, is survived by his parents, Arthur and Sue Meyers, four brothers, two sisters, and his grandmother.

Campbell alumnus makes his first catch

Cliff Russell (Campbell/Utah) made his first two catches with the Washington Redskins yesterday, for a total of 10 yards. Russell was a third-round pick in 2002 but missed the season after tearing his right ACL in training camp. He made his debut Dec. 14 against Dallas.
