Kaneohe Marine dies
in Michigan car accident
A 21-year-old Hawaii Marine died in an automobile accident early yesterday morning in Grand Haven, Mich.
Cpl. Cory West was in Michigan visiting family for the holidays when the accident occurred.
West, who is from Grand Rapids, Mich., was a cook assigned to Headquarters Battalion at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe.
The Grand Haven County Sheriff's Department is investigating the accident, according to an MCBH news release.
