Stuffs

[ PREVIEW ]

Here is a preview of more films opening tomorrow, in time for the Thanksgiving holiday:

"The Missing": Cate Blanchett fires rifles, rides horses and spars with Tommy Lee Jones in her role as a New Mexico woman hunting the men who've kidnapped her daughter.

Bad Santa": A Christmas treat for curmudgeons. Life lessons and yuletide cheer are secondary to laughs in this tale of a sinful department store St. Nick (Billy Bob Thornton) who reluctantly befriends a lonely kid. Those with a strong stomach and a twisted sense of humor will appreciate its subversive spirit. Everyone else will be appalled. (R)

"The Haunted Mansion": Another Disney movie based on a theme park attraction, this stars Eddie Murphy as a real estate agent whose family gets stranded in a creepy and crumbling New Orleans antebellum house. It's home to a star-crossed 19th-century bride, her groom and 999 grim, grinning ghosts. Aided only by a psychic and three "hitchhiking ghosts," the family has to weather the hauntings to break the mansion's curse before the clock strikes 13. Directed by Rob Minkoff, of "The Lion King" and "Stuart Little" fame. (PG)

"Timeline": This mystery suspense thriller, based on Michael Crichton's best-selling novel, is about a team of student archaeologists on a dig at a medieval site in France. When their team leader disappears, they suddenly find themselves in 14th-century feudal France on a perilous journey beyond their wildest dreams. (PG-13)
