Lau previously served as a state Department of the Attorney General administrative hearings officer for more than 14 years.

>> Ed Kageyama has been appointed to Kaanapali Golf Course general manager. He will oversee the daily operations of the golf course and manage a staff of more than 75 people. The company also has hired golf professional Scott Ashworth, senior golf course superintendent Tim Canute and clubhouse manager Chris Smallman.

>> Davin T. Hironaka has been appointed to finance supervisor at Hawaii consulting firm M&E Pacific Inc. He will direct all of the company's finance activities and its Korea joint venture operations and Pacific-based staff. He has more than 10 years of combined finance experience with private Hawaii companies and in public accounting.
