>> Kuakini Health System has appointed Dr. Nobuyuki Miki as vice president of medical affairs. Sylvia Shimonishi also has been appointed to clinical support services managing director, and Quin Ogawa from accounting manager to controller. Miki will serve as the administration's liaison for physician relations; oversee medical, surgical, hospital intensivist and geriatric education programs; and continue to supervise Kuakini's executive health program and house physician program. Shimonishi will oversee the coordination of the computerized physician order entry project and be responsible for the company's pharmacy and laboratory. Ogawa will oversee accounting and business services.

>> Maui Eco-Adventures has added two key staff members: John White as general manager and Scott Davis as operations director. White will handle strategic business operations including sales, marketing and finances. He has experience at global brands such as Nike and national promotions agencies. Davis will manage the company's reservation system. He previously handled call centers and employee training for Dell. The adventure company offers guided hiking, mountain biking and kayaking trips on private lands through Maui.

>> Cherie Dang has been named marketing representative at Xerox Hawaii. She will sell the company's complete line of products and services to customers in the Kalihi district.
