Robert Kui Tong Chun, 84, of Honolulu, a World War II veteran and chairman of the board for AA Electric, died Oct. 7, 2003, in St. Francis Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Rodney, daughters Qonnie B.Q. Chun Laughlin and June K.H. Chun, and five grandchildren. Taoist services: 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Saturday at Borthwick Mortuary. Maria Rivera Elvenia, 96, of Aiea, a homemaker, died Oct. 4, 2003, in Kapiolani Medical Center, Pali Momi. She was born in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, the Philippines. She is survived by sons Marcello, Virgilio, Dioncio and Orlino; daughters Florida Cabacungan and Herminia Elvenia; brother Adriano Rivera; one sister; 54 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Segundo Concordio "Coso" Hidaro, 65, of Ewa Beach, a state maintenance worker, died Oct. 13, 2003, in St. Francis-West Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. Herman "Longie" Kahalepauole, 83, of Honolulu, a retired McCabe, Hamilton & Renny Inc. employee, died Oct. 8, 2003, in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. Lum; daughters Sheila Kahalepauole, Rose Chun and Sandra Akina; son Thomas Lobo; sisters Ida Tom and Louise Kekahuna; brother David Helela; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. George Joji Tanabe Sr., 89, of Waialua, owner of Tanabe Hardware Store in Waialua, died Oct. 10, 2003, at home. He was born in Waialua. He is survived by son George J. Jr., daughters Carol K. Nagano and Ray Y. Iwamoto, sisters Yoshiko Fukai and Marian Hayashi, and three grandchildren. Private services.

Winona Elmira Yamamoto, 68, of Waianae, died Oct. 11, 2003, at home. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son David E. Peterson; daughters Darlene E. Souza, Debra E. Rose, Dynell E.
