20TH CENTURY FOX
Dustin Hoffman, left, and Gene Hackman are opposing laywers in "Runaway Jury."

Films opening this weekend:

"Runaway Jury": John Cusack and Rachel Weisz star in this legal thriller based on the John Grisham novel. Also starring are Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman, in their first screen appearance together. Nick Easter (Cusack) gets on the jury of a landmark case against a gun manufacturer in an attempt to sway his fellow jurors. The movie, directed by Gary Fleder ("Don't Say a Word"), delves into the world of jury consultancy and tampering. (PG-13)

"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre": Who dares remake the best cult horror film of all time? German director Marcus Nispel. It's a wild and demented ride as five teenagers pick a hitchhiker and end up stuck in a house stocked with lunatics, particularly the chainsaw-wielding and cannibalistic Leatherface. (R)
