A sand-shifting project at Kailua Beach proved interesting yesterday to Michael Parks, left, Bob Stewart and Paul McNamara, members of Jericho Canoe Club from Vancouver, B.C. The project is intended to improve drainage at the beach, where the men were practicing with an outrigger canoe borrowed from Kailua Canoe Club. They will participate in the Molokai Hoe on Sunday.
