Paul Barnabas "Pana" Bailey, 72, of Makaha, a C.E. Combustion Engineers boilermaker and high rigger, died Oct. 1, 2003, in St. Francis-West Medical Center. He was born in Lahaina. He is survived by sons Maurice "Chub," Joesph "Joe," Paul "Oogi" Jr., John "Oni" and Rudolph "Boots"; daughters Chansonette "Chance" Park, Violet "Ann" Soares, Patricia "Pat" Koa and Maethylle "Mae" Picara; brothers Gilbert, Morris, Fred, Larry and Gabriel; sisters Winona Galliday, Genevieve Camdon, Maxine Ng and Susan Cravalho; 36 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Helen Riggs Beck, 88, of Kaneohe, a retired school teacher, died Sept. 28, 2003, in Ann Pearl Nursing Home. She was born in Clovis, Calif. She is survived by husband Tom W. Gladwyn Manuel Calvan, 28, of Pearl City, a Jurison's Westside Cafe executive chef, died Sept. 27, 2003, in Honolulu. He was born in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, the Philippines.
