50 will be honored at
technology awards gala


Fifty business executives and officials deemed to have made positive contributions to high technology and other industries will receive honors Oct. 12 at the 3rd annual Flavors of Technology Awards Gala at the Sheraton-Waikiki Hotel.

"In the light of how current events have affected the growth of business and technology here in Hawaii, we would like to honor the leaders who have truly made an impact on our market," said Lincoln Jacobe, chairman of the Flavors of Technology Awards Gala, and chief executive of PacificNews.Net.

Tickets are $95 each, and proceeds will go to a high-tech scholarship fund run by PacificNews.Net.

Awards will be presented by Lt. Gov. Duke Aiona and Manny Menendez, executive director of Mayor Jeremy Harris' Office of Economic Development.
