Open house is set
to discuss Kaneohe
town center project

Residents are invited to attend the city's informational meeting and open house at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 4 on a project to develop a town center for Kaneohe.

The city's Kaneohe-Kahaluu Community Vision Team initiated the Kaneohe Town Plan project to identify physical improvements.

The Honolulu Department of Planning & Permitting and planning consultant Belt Collins Hawaii will give a 30-minute presentation at Windward Community College's Hale Akoakoa Room 107-109.

The presentation will give an overview of the project's background and scope, a review of the planning process, an analysis of conditions and assets, and discussion of potential town center proposals.

Attendees can also browse the exhibits and talk with the consultant and city planning personnel to ask questions and offer comments.

For more information, call the Community Action Plans Branch at 523-4484 or Gene Yong at Belt Collins Hawaii at 521-5361.
