Kaio begins
Autumn basho
with easy win

TOKYO -- East Ozeki Kaio picked up right where he left off in the last tournament, grabbing Toki and knocking him out of the ring via tsukidashi (frontal thrust out) at the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament at Ryogoku Kokugikan.

Ozeki Musoyama was the victim of the biggest upset, falling to Tochinonada.

Yokozuna Musashimaru, Or Hawaii's Fiamalu Penitani, is sitting out the tournament.

Musashimaru bowed out of the previous tournament after three straight losses. He missed three straight tournaments before that after having surgery on his left wrist.
