Mariana Araceli Carpinteyro, 73, of Honolulu, died Aug. 27, 2003, in Wahiawa General Hospital. She was born in Mexico. She is survived by sons Miguel, Guillermo, Gus and Richard Queponds; daughters Delia Alpuche, Nancy Rosales and Marie Santana; brother Miguel; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. tomorrow at Faith Baptist Church, 1230 Kailua Road.

Stella Hanayo Kakazu, 80, of Wahiawa, a retired Kemoo Farm Restaurant general manager, died Aug. 19, 2003, at home. She was born in Pepeekeo, Hawaii. She is survived by brothers Yoshio and Yoshiaki, and sisters Jean M. Watanabe and Judith T. and Kathlyn C. Kakazu. Services: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Thomas Tetsuo Kodama, 59, of Honolulu, a retired Castle High School teacher, died Aug. 27, 2003, in Kuakini Medical Center. He was born in Lahaina. David Joji Kubota, 41, of Laie, a refrigeration and air-conditioning technician, died Aug. 28, 2003, in Kahuku. He was born in Honolulu. Edward Robert Long Jr., 65, of Kihei, Maui, died Aug. 26, 2003, in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Boston. Eloise Keehunoholani Pekelo, 77, of Honolulu, a retired Pan American Airlines public relations director, died Aug. 27, 2003. She was born in Honolulu. William C.K. Tom, 75, of Kaneohe, a retired Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard naval architect and civil engineer, died Aug. 20, 2003, in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Robert and David; daughter Janet Gomes; brothers Michael, Francis and Joseph; sisters Violet Mau, Gertrude Pang, Margaret Goo and Miriam Tom; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Toliu Sape Yoro, 62, of Waipahu, died Aug. 8, 2003, in Kaiser Medical Center. She was born in Alofau, American Samoa.
