Aiona and Lumpkin
will tell how God
affects their lives

Lt. Gov. James "Duke" Aiona and University of Hawaii associate football coach George Lumpkin will talk about ways God affects their lives at the Honolulu Men's Conference next Saturday.

"Lifestyles of Champions" is the theme of the program. It will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii, 2454 S. Beretania St.

It is the second year that the men of Honolulu Christian Church have sponsored the event, the goal of which is to "encourage the men of our state to walk faithfully with God."

The Rev. Russell Higa, pastor of Honolulu Christian Church, will lead the conference. Also speaking will be the Rev. Dennis Sallas, a former UH basketball star and associate pastor of Hope Chapel South Shore, and the Rev. John Rogers, a former Motorola Communications executive and now an assistant pastor at First Assembly of God.

The $40 ticket price includes lunch. For more information, call Mike Wing at 834-0982 or e-mail mdwing@hawaii.rr.com.
