Skate event
gets air

The annual T&C/És/Ezekiel "Sunburn Classic" at Mililani Skate Park gets rolling tomorrow, presented by TeenExtremeSports! In partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii, the event is touted as the state's biggest and most anticipated skate contest of the year, allowing local amateur skaters to show off their best tricks and compete against each other. There will be four age divisions: 13 years of age and under, 14 to 17 years old, 18 and over and an all-ages sponsored competition, with a maximum of 20 competitors each.

Each division will feature a series of qualifying and final rounds. Prizes will be given to the top five of each division.

An És and Ezekiel Pro Street Demo will be given at midday by team riders Kerry Getz, Carlos DeAndrade and others. These pros will also give a special autograph session at the park.

This year, Aston Hotels & Resorts Hawaii will sponsor the "Best Trick Contest" by awarding the first-place winner with a two-night stay at Aston Waikiki on the Beach or Aston Kaanapali on Maui. Second and third places will receive a one-night stay at the Aston Aloha Surf. The contest will be limited to sponsored riders only.

Fox Sports Net's "54321" extreme sports show will showcase this year's "Sunburn Classic" on a future episode.
