>> Oglivy & Mather Hawaii Inc. has hired Diane Hong as director of brand strategy, Melissa Toyofuku as associate media director and Brian Curtis as a copywriter. Hong will use network resources and the methodology of parent company WPP Group to build customer research, strategic consulting and marketing plans. She most recently had a similar position with brand consultancy Interbrand in San Francisco. Toyofuku will develop, manage, coordinate and execute media plans for clients. She has more than 25 years in media, including one year in television sales and 14 years in the media department of another advertising agency. Curtis will write copy for client ads, brochures, direct mail and promotional material. He has been a newspaper staff writer, features magazine contributing writer, legal assistant and an English teacher in Poland.

>> Property development and management company MW Group Ltd. has hired Kim Kumagai and Kapua Nakamoto as accountants. Kumagai spent the last two years as an accounting manager and has more than 10 years of experience in accounting. Nakamoto recently graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a bachelor's degree in business administration, with an emphasis in marketing and management information systems.
