>> Hawaii Schools Federal Credit Union has hired Karen K. Gionson as Town Center of Mililani branch manager. She was most recently a branch manager at another local institution. Jo Ann M. Nagatori has been named vice president of operations charged with overseeing the credit union's member service and branch operations. She was most recently operations manager at another institution. And Lorraine Shimokawa has been named vice president of lending. She has 28 years of lending experience.

>> Warren Mitsuda joins the Honolulu office of American Express as field vice president. He was managing director of financial planning at ING.

>> City Bank has promoted Roy K. Amemiya to senior vice president. He joined the bank in 2001 and is responsible for the direction of the bank's dealer center, consumer loan center, equipment leasing and business services. He has more than 22 years of banking experience. He also served four years as the city director of budget and fiscal services.

>> Etta Palea has been promoted to senior vice president of financial services for the Big Island Federal Credit Union. She has been with the credit union for three years serving as vice president of financial services. She is now responsible for member services, loans, marketing and advertising, information technology, compliance and security, and overall branch operations.
