Party with
Hoobastank

Hoobastank is taking some time out from mixing their upcoming album in Vancouver to do a special show at KPOI's Poi Block Party on Sunday. The band just did a one-off show at The Roxy in Hollywood last week, a venue that was the site of their first show in late 1995.

Their 2002 debut album hit certified gold sales, buoyed by songs like "Remember Me" and "Crawling in the Dark." Members (pictured, from left above) Dan Estrin, Doug Robb, Markku Lappalainen and Chris Hesse play an invigorating brand of rock.

Opening Sunday's show is No Bare Feet, and there'll be an after-show party featuring Linus and Battle Royale.

>> Place: Pipeline Cafe, 805 Pohukaina St.

>> Time: 7 p.m. Sunday

>> Tickets: $17.50 presale (at the club and Cheapo Music stores), $20 at the door

>> Call: 599-5764
