Sam Adams brew
to foam over at Indigo


BEER LOVERS will get their turn to pair their favorite Sam Adams brew with creations by chef Glenn Chu at Indigo tomorrow night.

Planned the same way a wine dinner would be, the restaurant will offer a different type of beer with each course; selections include Sam Adams Light, Summer Ale, Pale Ale, Boston Lager and Creme Stout.

ANOTHER CONCERT that just started ticket sales last week is the KCCN FM100 Birthday Bash, scheduled for July 25 and July 26 at the Waikiki Shell. Each night features a different lineup of Hawaii's top local entertainers along with a performance by the Island Music MVPs under the leadership of musical director Fiji.

Some of the acts planned for the bash's first night include Ekolu, Sean Na'auao, Na Palapalai, The Next Generation, O'shen, Pati, Sudden Rush and Three Plus. On Saturday, B.E.T., Fiji, Kapena, Natural Vibrations and Ten Feet will rock the Shell.

Tickets start at $18.50 for the birthday party, with special two-night tickets available for $30. The first 5,000 people through the gates each night will also receive a free cap that will only be available at the show. Call 296-1003 for info ...

ORGANIZERS OF the Muscular Dystrophy Association's annual telethon are looking for singers, dancers, comedians, bands and novelty acts to take part in the "Stars Across America" talent search that will be part of this year's show.

Those selected to take part in "Stars Across America" will appear alongside the likes of Jerry Lewis, Wayne Brady and Ed McMahon as the telethon takes place in Hollywood, New York City and other locations around the country on Sept. 1.
