Treat your feet

Call 'em flip-flops if you're not from here, slippers if you are, but one thing's certain: Beyond changing the strap or changing the sole, there's not much you can do to alter the look of this most basic piece of footwear.

Now HUE, a company known for legwear, has turned its attention to the humble slipper, introducing the Foot Tube. The tubes will not only dress up your feet, but serve a practical purpose for wearers of slippers and mules as they protect your precious footsies from blisters caused by tight straps and from sliding around in higher heels.

Foot Tubes come in summery colors of turquoise and pink, some bearing polka dot patterns. Find them at Macy's where two pairs sell for $5.

DREAMWORKS
Reese Witherspoon returns as Elle Woods in "Legally Blonde 2," which has inspired a makeover contest.

You, too, can look perky.

Neiman Marcus is hosting a makeover contest in conjunction with the summer release of "Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde," opening in theaters July 2. The winner of the Elle Woods-inspired makeover will receive a gift certificate to Frederic Fekkai Hair Salon, Fekkai hair products, makeup consultation and gift basket by Laura Mercier Cosmetics, spa-style facial, manicure, wardrobe consultation with the store's personal shopper, as well as a $1,000 in-store shopping spree to get that premiere outfit.

Pick up ideas at the store, which will display original costumes that were worn by the film's star Reese Witherspoon during the filming.

Enter to win the prize package by signing up at NM through June 29.
