Michael Loo, Nadine Lagaso and Dawn Farm-Ramsey carried Kamehameha Schools' lei to the statue. The holiday is on Wednesday, but a parade from downtown to Waikiki today starts at 9:30 a.m.

USS Columbia, the last of four Pacific Fleet submarines to return from Operation Iraqi Freedom, arrived at Pearl Harbor yesterday. Above, 7-year-old Gabriel Sakurai saluted his dad, Madoka.

Mike Hardy got a hug from his mom, Sharron, and a kiss from his wife, Joanna, after he arrived. His family came from Alabama, Texas, Wyoming, Delaware, North Carolina and Massachusetts to greet him.
