Wine Maker's Dinner: Adam Lazzare, of the Hahn Estates, hosts a four-course wine-pairing dinner, 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Ala Moana Hotel. Chef Ryan Day's menu includes Duck Confit with White Beans Cassoulet (with 2001 Santa Lucia Cabernet Franc); Crab, Jicama and Mango Salad (2001 Monterey Chardonnay); Hen (2001 Monterey Merlot); and Braised Rabbit Bourguignon (2000 Santa Lucia Highlands Meritage). Cost is $55. Preceding the dinner is a wine tasting featuring Hahn Estate wines, in the Mahina Lounge. Cost is $16, which includes a $10 discount to the dinner. Call 955-4811.

35th Anniversary Party: The Chart House is celebrating its 35th birthday with a benefit dinner for the Hawaii Literacy Foundation, 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday. The party will feature a custom poke bar, live carving and sauté stations, and martini and wine bars. Emcees will be Lanai and Augie from Island Rhythm 98.5. Entertainment is by Malani Bilyeu, of Kalapana. Cost is $65. Call 941-6669.
