in final

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. >> The NCAA Division II men's tennis championship is not going anywhere.

No. 11 Hawaii Pacific beat West Florida 5-0 and No. 2 Brigham Young-Hawaii took out Barry 5-2 to set up an all-Hawaii final for the title tomorrow at 3 a.m. Hawaii time.

The Sea Warriors have reached the final twice and the Seasiders won the crown last year in their first try.

HPU set the tone with a sweep of the doubles matches, then clinched it when Blaz Jurjec and Jan Tribler swept their opponents in singles.

West Florida is the top ranked team in the nation and the only team to beat the Seasiders this year.

BYUH gave up two points to Barry when Jong Woong Yoon and Hong Tae Kim lost their doubles match and Kim was swept out of his singles match.

Wen Lung Chang was the only other Seasider in trouble, losing his first set in singles but recovering to win 3-6, 6-0, 6-1.

Chang, Daouda Ndaiye, Yoon and Peter Madarassy scored the points for the Seasiders.

The Seasiders have played the Sea Warriors three times this year, beating them each time. They also knocked HPU out of the national tournament in the semifinals last year.

BYUH women still winning: The Seasider women are in their fifth straight national title match after beating Lynn 5-1 yesterday.

The No. 1 Seasiders, who have won 168 of their last 169 matches, will play No. 3 Barry tomorrow at 7 a.m. Hawaii time.

Jing Sun and Anna Anikanova gave up the only point for the Seasiders, losing their doubles match 8-3. Sun recovered to win her singles match 6-0, 6-0 over Masha Bajramovic. BYUH swept the singles.
