Norman Elias Ahakuelo, 71, of Pearl City, a retired International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers business representative and a former fire commissioner, died Sunday in Hono- lulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Rowena; sons Kevin, Brian, Christian and Michael; daughters Aonani Chernisky and Maile Cavaco; sister Queenie Cavaco; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Johnelle William Alfonso, 55, of Honokaa, Hawaii, a Brantley Center janitor, died April 28 in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii. He is survived by sister Sharon Toko. Joseph Bungcayao "Joe" Balais, 42, of Honolulu, a mechanic, died April 21 in Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi. He was born in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, the Philippines. He is survived by wife Editha, daughter Kelcie, mother Eufrecina, brother Lyndon and sister Glenda. Services: 7 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mililani Downtown Mortuary, 20 S. Joaquin Garcia, 94, of Ewa Beach, died April 9 at home. He was born in Diaton, Vintar, Ilocos Norte, the Philippines.
