Menehune Mac, a candy company in Kalihi, gave children an opportunity yesterday to make personalized Mother's Day candy gifts. After donning proper working gear, the children entered the chocolate factory.

The children were given an opportunity to dip macadamia nuts into chocolate. Carly Kajiwara, above, got some dipping help from factory worker Connie Madamba.

Jamie Matsuura, assisted by factory worker Clem Barayaga, was excited as she got into her work gear and prepared to enter the chocolate factory.

The children also designed their own boxes and labels. Taylor Onizuka showed off her message to Mom on her personalized box.
