Aloha to add new
service to Kona


Aloha Airlines will start direct daily service between Orange County and Kona on July 2, assuming it gets its expected final approval from Orange County officials.

Aloha Air The airline said the success of its service between John Wayne Airport and Maui led it to expand the service to Kona.

The flights will use Boeing 737-700 aircraft, with 112 seats in coach and 12 in first class. Aloha said the Kona service has a startup special round-trip fare of $427.60, including tax, fuel surcharge and the 9/11 security fee.

Aloha is marketing Orange County as a convenient alternative to Los Angeles. It also flies Honolulu-Orange and Orange-Phoenix, as well as Honolulu-Oakland and Oakland-Las Vegas.
