OIA East

Kahuku 52, Kalaheo 38

The Red Raiders stayed alone atop the Eastern Division, beating the five-time defending league champion Mustangs to improve to 7-0.

Kahuku's Mona Ale scored 10 of her 12 points in the second half, mostly on transition layups.

Taylor Smith scored 10 of her game-high 14 points in the first half for Kalaheo (5-2).

Kahuku, which lost to Kalaheo in last year's OIA title game, travels to unbeaten Moanlaua tomorrow night in a game that will likely determine the division champion.
