The East-West Center plays host to
a festival showcasing cultural diversity

Tish Kuruppu applied a henna design to the hands of Latifah Allaudin. This technique of adornment is usually reserved for high ceremonies like weddings and is practiced in regions of India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
