McCully claims AJA baseball title

Danny Kimura's two-run single in the third inning lifted McCully to a 2-1 victory over Keaukaha in the championship game of the Hawaii State AJA tournament Sunday at Wong Stadium in Hilo.

The win gave McCully its first state championship since 1964. McCully pitcher Sean Yamashita earned a complete-game victory and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.

The game was called after seven innings due to a soggy field.
