Hatsuko Nakano "Joyce" Funamoto, 83, of Honolulu, a retired Palolo Superette cashier, died March 25 in Kaiser Foundation Hospital. She was born in Makaweli, Kauai. John William Giabbai, 69, of Hauula and Cape Cod, Mass., a retired U.S. Navy veteran, firefighter and Massachusetts state trooper, died March 14 in Kahuku Hospital. He was born in Massachusetts. Florence "Aunty Florence" Wong Hoke, 94, of Kaneohe, a homemaker and former Young Laundry employee, died March 28 in Ann Pearl Care Home. She was born on Maui. Aiko Kurashige, 94, of Lanai, a retired meat wrapper for Richard Shopping Center, died March 22 in Lanai Hospital. She was born on Lanai.
