Ryan Asato singled with the bases loaded in the seventh inning, giving Mid-Pacific a 13-12 win over previously unbeaten Iolani in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu game last night.

The Raiders (6-1) scored six runs in the sixth to tie the defending state champion Owls (3-3-1).

But Mid-Pacific's Mark Inamasu opened the bottom of the seventh with a single to left field. He was replaced by pinch runner Kyle Sakamoto. Jonathan Hee then reached on an error. After an intentional walk to Kevin Whalen, Asato singled to right field to bring Sakamoto home with the winning run.
