returns for a 12th year

The annual fund-raiser for Easter
Seals will be held on June 20-22

OK, Honolulu, start salivating, Easter Seals Hawaii says, because its 12th annual Taste of Honolulu will be June 20-22.

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation will present the food, wine and entertainment extravaganza at the Honolulu Civic Center grounds next to Honolulu Hale. Hours are 5 p.m.-10 p.m. June 20, 11 a.m.- 10 p.m. June 21 and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. June 22.

The festival features samplings of gourmet, local, ethnic and all-American favorites, as well as wine-tasting and entertainment.

The annual festival has raised a cumulative total of $1.4 million for Easter Seals Hawaii, which works with children and adults with disabilities to achieve individual levels of independence.

Participants include Dave & Busters, Bali-by-the-Sea, Brew Moon Restaurant & Microbrewery, Ciao Mein, The Colony, Canoes at the Ilikai, Down to Earth, Eastern Garden Chinese Seafood, Golden Dragon, The Greek Corner, Kit 'n Kitchen, Marians Catering, Musashi, Pipeline Cafe, Prince Court Restaurant, the Pyramid, the Willows, Tony Roma's and Uncle Lani's Poi Mochi & Catering.

The $3 admission fee will directly support the Easter Seals' children's programs. Seniors (55 and up) and children (under 12) are free. Proceeds from the sale of scrip for food will also go to Easter Seals.

Free parking will be available in the underground city lot.
