The Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin Index is a price-weighted index designed to measure the performance of Hawaii-based companies. The index was developed with a base value of 100 as of December 31, 1999. A chart of the index which shows the weekly performance of its members is published weekly in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

ML Macadamia,
CPB post gains



ML Macadamia Orchards LP and Central Pacific Bank parent CPB Inc. both eked out gains to finish the week as the only stocks in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin index in positive territory. ML Macadamia rose 0.62 percent to $3.25 while CPB was up 0.19 percent to $26.05.

City Bank parent CB Bancshares Inc. hit an all-time high of $50.49 Tuesday before ending the week down 0.14 percent at $49.98.

The worst performer of the week was Ceatech USA Inc., which fell 43.3 percent to 17 cents on volume of just 200 shares.
