Mililani holds off Leilehua

Leilehua's Pikake Nutter-Gaudet scored 19 of her 28 points in the fourth quarter as Mililani held off a furious comeback attempt 49-46 last night at Mililani's gym.

After building a 42-21 lead going into the fourth quarter, the Trojans, who had three players score in double figures, were outscored 25-7 by the neighborhood rival Mules in the final frame.

WAIALUA 36, KAPOLEI 30: Cheyenne Opianna scored six of her nine points in the first half to put Waialua up 21-7.

Kira Nakasono was the dominant force in the second half, scoring 12 of her game-high 15 points.

Free throw shooting hampered Kapolei, which was only 4-for-18 from the line.

PUNAHOU 60, SACRED HEARTS 28: Sacred Hearts hung tough with Punahou for the first quarter, but the Buffanblu poured it on in the second half, coming out of the locker room with a 29-11 post-halftime run.

Becky Hogue led all scorers with 14 points and Shanna-Lei Dacanay added 13.

The Buffanblu made eight of nine free throws.
