Kamehameha opens
ILH with victory

Isaac Kamai pitched six strong innings as Kamehameha opened the Interscholastic League of Honolulu season by beating Saint Louis 11-3 at Ala Wai Field yesterday.

Kamai allowed two runs on six hits, striking out four and walking three.

The Warriors combined for eight hits to score eight runs in the fourth and fifth innings, and also took advantege of two Crusaders errors.

Jared Pate, Logan Narikawa and Kaohi Downing combined on a one-hit shutout as the Buffanblu routed the Monarchs in a game called after five innings due to the 10-run rule.

The trio combined for five strikeouts and no walks, and allowed just one baserunner.
